Service Description

The Cohort program is for individuals who have a deep understanding of improvisational theatre and want to focus on fine tuning techniques individually and within a group. Enrolment in the Cohort program requires an interview to ensure proper placement. After signing up, each student will be scheduled for an interview to assess their readiness for the program. If a student is not approved for participation, a full refund will be provided. In this course, you'll learn: -Receive tailored feedback: get individualized insights to elevate your improv performances and hone your craft. -Create and sustain complex characters and scenes: develop the ability to craft intricate characters and engaging scenes, both individually and collaboratively. -Master advanced techniques: deepen your expertise in improvisational principles and elevate your performance to new heights. Course fee includes a student's pass to all Instant Theatre produced shows for the term. Class sign up ends February 28th 2025. Accessibility in the space: -There is a powered lift from street level to the main performance space where practices will take place. -The lift is a Garaventa Xpress II – Inclined Platform Lift. -Staff must activate the lift for it to operate. -The lift has a weight capacity of 550 lbs. -The platform size is 31 1/2″ wide by 49 ¼”) long. -The lift has two safety arms that must be lowered for the lift to function. These arms reduce the functional size of the lift to 25″ wide by 46″ long. Larger chairs may not fit on the lift due to the need for the arms to lower/raise. -The venue has six private washrooms on the main floor, one of which is fully accessible with a power assisted door.
